mdc-layout-grid__cell--align-<POSITION> doesn't work on IE11

  1. Go to https://material-components.github.io/material-components-web-catalog/#/component/layout-grid

Hi there! Thank you for reporting this.
This bug seems similar to #5199 . Due to limited resources during COVID-19 we will place in the backlog to fix once able to work on appropriately. While investigating, philipwalton/flexbugs#231 provided some interesting insight, incase this helps for the moment.
