The wireguard package on ubuntu does not depend on resolvconf
resulting in the following error

Nov 24 15:51:07 greyfox NetworkManager[58840]: /usr/bin/wg-quick: line 32: resolvconf: command not found

this can be fixed by running

sudo apt install resolvconf
