Feature-Request: keep drop-down open in menu

I understand that closing all inactive drop downs in the side menu on a page reload saves space, but I would love to have two or three of them open all the time (e.g. content and layout).

Can you adjust the code so that the manually opened drop down stay open even on a reload? Would be awesome.
