Hello so I am admin of an organization which redistributes game files packaged with dwarfs (to run them mounted). Illegally or not depends on what you think about intellectual property... Regardless, I wanted to make a thread of sorts about discussing the distribution of dwarfs on GNU/Linux distributions.
Currently it is not available on any official repo of a distribution (except maybe Nix but I'm not sure). Maybe that is because it is not popular or relevant enough. I'm not sure.
Arch - The package is available on AUR where we also created a package for it but we have our own custom arch repo as well.
Debian - We have made it available through MPR/una packaging system which is pretty much just AUR on debian.
Fedora - We have created a package for it that we are now not able to update due to changes in how the distro packaging system works.
Nix - An unofficial maintainer (?) created a package and it is up to date only on the unstable channel.
OpenSUSE - We created a package that is now outdated, there were some issues with the distro and we're not familiar with it much.
It would be interesting to hear if anyone knows maintainers of packages and if dwarfs could be added to their list.

We have a setup page where we show people how to install dwarfs on their distro: https://github.com/jc141x/jc141-bash/tree/master/setup/en
The situation is as follows:
Arch - The package is available on AUR where we also created a package for it but we have our own custom arch repo as well.
Debian - We have made it available through MPR/una packaging system which is pretty much just AUR on debian.
Fedora - We have created a package for it that we are now not able to update due to changes in how the distro packaging system works.
