There's another issue on the tracker that's pretty much the same thing.
When copying items in explorer there is no current method to change the destination file name other then manually renaming it after the copy has completed.
If you copy paste a file into the same destination, explorer appends " - Copy" to the file name and if you are copying a file into a different destination folder that contains a file with the same name it prompts to replace or skip.
It would be awesome to be able to do some kind of special file/folder paste (win+shift+v to avoid colliding with win+v?) that opens a dialog to set the destination file name.
Would be handy for making duplicates of large files without needing to wait for the copy to finish before renaming.
EG:
If I want to make a copy of a large file such as My_Custom_Windows_Image-v1.wim with the intention of renaming it to v2.
