I wanted to make sure whether this project is dead or not?

• Hasn't been updated in 6 months.
• Maven repo does not even contain the latest version (and there's no ETA on it).

Is this going to be maintained or is this something that we should not use?

Looks like something that we should not use anymore. No updates for 6+ months, no plans, no response in issues, no anything. Fair to assume this project is abandoned and dead.
