Milk-V DUO 256M - Load Arduino Code from RTOS

Hello,
I am new to milk-v duo devices and already tested Arduino code on them. I expected that the small core boots independently and long before the Linux core gets ready. I want to boot the little core on power up and drive a display with a welcome screen waiting for the Linux to load.
Did I misunderstand the concept of that device?
