The test for redistributable C++ runtime is botched

The key Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\14.0\VC\Runtimes doesn't exist on my machine, neither does it on @ThomasKerman's machine. See http://stackoverflow.com/questions/12206314/detect-if-visual-c-redistributable-for-visual-studio-2012-is-installed for a way to fix the problem once and for all (but... once and for all!).
