Expression validation fails when creating new entity type in metadata manager

How to Reproduce

Create an entity type in the metadata manager.
Fill in expressions for the attributes and press save

Expected behavior

The entity type saves

Observed behavior

Attribute validator complains that the attributes mentioned in the expressions do not exist.
If you save the entity without expressions and then update the attributes, it does work
