thanks for the feedback.
Yes, the algorithm here is the same as rdiff (rsync), general purpose diff and patch.
Another difference is using the powerful go concurrency when diffing big files. My tests show huge performance improvement there. I plan to add a table with some perf measurements when I get some time.
