Help codding - trying to add item to change value for metadata of files/folder

Hi everyone... I see this app has great functionality...
So I am trying to make some items in contextual menu to change the value of metadata to a file/folder... for exemple.... "rating" of an file... 1 star, 2 stars and so on....
Also some item that gives to the file/folder a status... like for exemple ... "In working" or "not started".... to be use on the NAS because everyone can see all this informations with out instaling or make changes to ther PC...
This will be so usefull... the request is to help me to make such an item.... tanks in advance ....

P.S. in order this to work on to a NAS we have to make a shortcut or something to add the field call "Rating" or anyting else with 1 click solutions... for exemple select the NAS drive and apply to all folders and sub folder this filds to see the metadata.... if you have this solution please share...
