I've tested the metadata/artwork display across several devices and protocols as below.
The only protocol which seems to work consistently is Airplay, which I don't otherwise use as I am an Android user.
Using Music Assistant 2.0.7 in Home Assistant 2024.6.3
WiiM Pro (Displayed in Android "Wiim Home" application
Slimproto - No artwork, bitrate, bitdepth, frequency, "SQUEEZELITE" (screenshot below)
DLNA - No artwork, bitrate, bitdepth, frequency, track name, artist, album name
Chromecast - No artwork, track name, album name
Airplay - Artwork, bitrate, bitdepth, frequency, artist - track name, artist, album name
WiiM Pro (Displayed in Android Squeezer application)
Slimproto - Artwork, track name, album name, artist
OSMC (Displayed through Vero4K HDMI output)
DLNA - No artwork, track name, file type, frequency, bitdepth
Marantz SR 5012 (Displayed through HDMI output)
DLNA - File type - frequency/bitdepth, "Music Assistant", Artwork, track name - artist
Airplay - Album name, artwork, artist - track name
Squeeze Player on Android (Displayed in Android Squeezer application)
Slimproto - Artwork, track name, album name, artist
WiiM Pro using slimproto displayed in WiiM Home application on Android.
