Feel free to brainstorm any improvements to the existing UI. I'm not the best at UI so this was the best I could come up with :)

Ideally, the improvements should:

  • Somewhat resemble the current UI
  • Be minimalistic and easy to use
  • Should not require dependencies other than handlebars

This issue is less "guided" than the other issues. Designs may vary widely between different individuals. Remember that the project maintainers have the final say in which design works the best.

This is an idea I had for the UI however I'm not sure if the horizontal design strays too much from the original design. Any thoughts on this?

Hey! That looks pretty nice. That does deviate from our intended look a bit, specifically because it changes the popup from being vertical to horizontal. I personally think it makes more sense to have the main UI be vertical because it feels less clunky. Most retailers use the top of the page for navigation but keep the sides of the page blank, so having a vertical UI would help use a lot of the empty space on the sides of the page. See j.crew, american eagle, or papa johns for examples of these pages.

However, I think this would be a good candidate for our popup notifications milestone! Specifically, this would close #72. Essentially, we're working on a new opt-in feature that will display pop-up notifications on sites without the user having to click on the chrome extension. This is similar to how the popup blocked chrome extension notifies user's about ads on a page:

What do you think about this? Do you think you could add the features listed on #72 to your UI?
