Expected behaviour

Well this a feature request actually, I don't see where old announcements are being kept after long time. In my case, I wanted old announcements to just stay where they are to use it as reference for some purposes. But now I think announcements are deleted after a while without no one deletes it manually. So I really prefer if there is a way to archive announcements. Thanks

There is no deletion happening. If you scroll down it should load the old entries

Apparently, this is not always the case. In my Nextclouds I can only see the last 7 announcements - the older ones disappear and cannot be accessed (versions 21 and 22).

The same thing is happening as @Thelendris said. Scroll down won't load older posts

I'm not a frontend expert and have no free time at the moment, so unless someone picks it up, you will have to live with it, if you don't do it yourself.

How should the page actually behave? You see the first 7 announcements, scroll to the bottom of the page and more announcements should load?

@JeremyCrealead we all wish this thing gets fixed but as Nick said he is back end developer so it would be good if anyone here can participate in fixing the issue.

Nextcloud teams are not giving focus on Announcements I don't know why. In every new release, we mostly hear other apps new features and fixes but not announcements.

This issue seems to be about a multitude of things:

• a way to access the history of announcements that have more than 6 successors and are currently invisible, thus to some extent 'in the archive'
• a way to archive individual announcements, in so they disappear from the announcements page
• a way to access hidden ("archived") announcements

It would probably also include a way to revert archival.

Now, that we have a background job running due to #767, we could add an option/setting for maximum announcement age, check daily for old announcements and archive them
