Note: if you have lost your password try using a different browser just in case cache is causing the wrong remembered password to be inserted
Login to cloud.yourdomain.ext as the user who owns the vault we wish to export
- In the bottom left corner choose the Settings Icon
- Then click the subsequent Settings link within the small popup
- Click the Export Credentials Tab
- Select an Export Type (note: csv will allow you to view it in Excel or other spreadsheet software)
- You are required to know your vault password in order to export your credentials list
- Click the export button.
This action will cause a file to be downloaded. You should do this periodically and then store that file in a well known place that you can remember to find it in the future
Problems and Solutions
- Problem: export fails to create a file. Hangs on Decrypting credentials and the file is never created ** Solution: A hack discovered by user OS3DrNick at https://github.com/nextcloud/passman/issues/264 resolves this. *** Login through Nextcloud and then Login to your Passman Vault *** Edit any one of your saved credentials and take the step of adding a single file to it. It can be a single one character text file. It does not matter. Then save it. *** Your vault will now export normally.
