Note: if the reason you are here is because you have lost your password try using a different browser just in case cache is causing the wrong remembered password to be inserted. Otherwise unfortunately there is no recovery process. That is why exporting before hand is so important.
Login to cloud.yourdomain.ext as the user who owns the vault we wish to export
- In the bottom left corner choose the Settings Icon
- Then click the subsequent Settings link within the small popup
- Click the Export Credentials Tab
- Select an Export Type (note: csv will allow you to view it in Excel or other spreadsheet software)
- You are required to know your vault password in order to export your credentials list
- Click the export button.
This action will cause a file to be downloaded. You should do this periodically and then store that file in a well known place that you can remember to find it in the future
- Problem: export fails to create a file. Hangs on Decrypting credentials and the file is never created
- Solution: A hack discovered by user OS3DrNick at https://github.com/nextcloud/passman/issues/264#issuecomment-335484072 resolves this.
- Login through Nextcloud and then Login to your Passman Vault
- Edit any one of your saved credentials and take the step of adding a single file to it. It can be a single one character text file. It does not matter. Then save it.
- Your vault will now export normally.
