I'm usually using mobile (Opera, Opera Flow) to access my Nextcloud server and I find that the row hight seems quite large.
There is a lot of white space between the rows that could be reduced. Of course it probably should be user configurable to suit individual needs.
Option to remove file icons and only have text. This would allow much smaller rows but still enough separation for easy mobile use. As a bonus it would most likely load very fast.
Option to preload more rows in the file list. Currently it's impossible to quickly scroll through a long file list because it needs to load more rows all the time.

GitMate.io thinks possibly related issues are #10258 (files dates ( enhancement )), #7625 (File list is moved down when a file is selected), #2347 (Recent file list layout adjustment), #1623 (Can not go back from the files list anymore), and #1791 (show shared files with full path - enhancement).
I am going to close this since there doesn't seem to be a lot of interest (no upvotes) and no respond since around 2 years. Please reopen if you still want to implement this.

Hey,
can you please look into this once more? I had upvoted this if I had seen this post when it was created.
I am bothered by the free space between listings. This is very anoying if you have many files and have to scrool down because 50% of the space is not used.
It would be enough to set an checkmark in the settings on which the iconsize would be scaled down (to match texthight) and the free space on top/botton of the entries would be removed.
