Bug description

Similarly to nextcloud/server#15450, my updater is stuck on step6 of the update from 24.0.6 to 24.0.7.

The page https://x.x.x/updater/ gives the message "Step 6 is currently in process. Please reload this page later."
This has been like this for more than 12hours.

Running Nextcloud 24.0.6 server (stable channel)
Shared web hosting with provider OVH, so I do not think I can run shell commands.

This update tested successfully with the same provider on a different cloud instance.

Steps to reproduce

  1. From 24.0.6 server (stable channel)
  2. Launch the online update from the Settings panel
  3. The step6 extracting stopped and displayed an error
  4. Reloading he page displays "Step 6 is currently in process. Please reload this page later."

Expected behavior

Full update.

Additional info

I tried 1 suggestion from nextcloud/server#15450 :

  • remove(renamed) the data/update.../.step
  • the reloading the updater, a page is displayed and requests Authentication: To login you need to provide the unhashed value of "updater.secret" in your config file.
  • I paste the value xxxx found in the config file: 'updater.secret' => 'xxxx'
  • but it says invalid "Invalid password"

Hi, I have the same issue from 25.0.1 to 25.0.2 on an instance using the same web host / shared hosting service.
