Need to create a sample app to quickly spool up prototypes for internal and external testing #965

🧹 Tech Debt

We need a way to quickly create a sample app to support a wide variety of purposes.

These include things like:

  • Internal manual testing of work in progress that can be seen in context
  • Quickly create a realistic prototype for external usability testing.
    • There are some types of testing (keyboard interactions, for example) that a too complicated to to prototype in a UX tool (XD/Figma) and could be better tested in a more authentic prototype
  • Could also be useful showcasing usage examples

We would need sample app topic and potential a lightweight database. This could be as straightforward as a Contacts application, for example.

This could, potentially, be an evolution of the current example client apps we have. However, that could be impacted by the result of:

Some of these use cases could also be addressed by #325, but I can see value in both approaches. Commenting here to link the two issues together.
