Even a simple English interface is a barrier for many and prevents them from using useful applications. Therefore, I suggest considering adding support for internationalization/localization of the interface.

I like the gettext, including due to its convenient infrastructure for translators. However, I am not sure that it is the best choice for YARR given its technical features.
