Since electron-devtools-installer is listed as a devDependency, changing the version won't impact the version used in an app that uses this plugin, it will only change the version this plugin uses for tests. Since the tests seem to be working fine, forcing the upgrade of this isn't necessary. To update the version of electron-devtools-installer that your app uses, change the version in your app's package.json. However, I appreciate the effort to try and fix this.
