Our mission is to share data handling and data management expertise within the eScience center. Data SIG is the first point of contact for engineers who face data challenges.

Plans for the coming year

The SIG will have a monthly meeting. The SIG will organise a variety of sessions to cater to different aspects of data handling and processing, ensuring that we cover data topics over a wide spectrum. The following types of sessions will be organised:

Learn: The SIG focuses on fostering awareness of current, new and emerging data technologies. Together we gain valuable insights into the evolving data landscapes from tutorials and talks.

Talks: Internal and external speakers will share expertise on specific data topics, covering trends, best practices, case studies, and innovative solutions. These talks aim to enrich attendees' understanding of data technologies and their practical applications.

Discuss: A dedicated space for collaborative problem-solving and discussions regarding data challenges in internal projects. Attendees are encouraged to seek guidance and assistance by bringing their data problems to the SIG.
