As a project manager, I would like to receive an automatic daily e-mail with the list of stations that are not sending since more than 48 hours. Stations should be grouped per stationtype and data provider #146
Comments
I was able to reproduce the same thing as with the issues repository. Trying to do alerting in Grafana I noticed that Grafanas alerting system is not working with some visualization. It's a feature that a lot of people requested already years ago and never got implemented. I've red a bit on issue tracking tools and it seems Grafana is not that good / configurable for alerting. Maybe we should rethink on what we use for alerting. |
I'm trying now to create a visualization on the line chart with a workaround. |
@bertolla I understand what is reported in the legend, but not what you intend to do. Do you plan to plot every day how many data we expect and is missing? |
This graph shows you all data of the last 6 months which did not get updated since a day. It shows the last valid record of each specific datatype. |
Alerts are also grouped bby datatype to provide even more granular information |
Created todo in aboutbits kanban for notification mail. |
Martin M. created this new chart to visualize data in a better, understandable way. To understand what is working and what not. He also created a notification system where he sends an email if one of these stops working for more than 3 days. |
Let's briefly discuss these new GUIs together so to understand how to proceed. Why aren't you visualizing the names of the stations? This would be much better to understand which station has a problem. I am currently not receiving any automatic emails from Grafana. |
