Can't load plugins in Mozilla applications Firefox or Thunderbird

Would love to be able to inject SIMBL plugins into Firefox and/or Thunderbird, but they appear to not be supported. Any ideas why this would be?

I test ColorfulSidebar 1.1.2 with Firefox 36.0 and it works.

Interesting. I was trying to use https://github.com/alminde/Compulsion which works in other applications, but not Firefox or Thunderbird. I guess this is a bug in the plugin itself?

You can confirm by using Activity Monitor whether plugin has been loaded or not.
If loaded, issue will be in plugin.
