All variants of Noto Sans (v2.010), Noto Serif (v2.009), and Noto Sans Mono (v2.010) include glyphs at U+11AB0 and U+11AB1 that look like superscript # and $ respectively. These code points are actually used for CANADIAN SYLLABICS NATTILIK HI and CANADIAN SYLLABICS NATTILIK HII, both added in Unicode 14.0, and should therefore not be touched by these fonts.

Searching for “𑪰” and “𑪱” in https://notofonts.github.io/latin-greek-cyrillic/proof/glyphs.html will show the presence of these glyphs in every style variant of these three fonts.

This issue isn’t actually fixed. The misplaced glyphs still appear in the italic types of both Noto Sans and Noto Serif v2.014.
