It would be quite nice to be able to not use gif-delayer if images are smaller certain than set dimensions.
Lots of forum styles (at least definitely with vB and phpBB) use gifs as their format of choice for icons. When these are replaced by the extension (albeit briefly) it looks terrible, and breaks things as their container was not designed for that much content.
Most .gifs intended as icons are small, and most .gifs intended to be 'enjoyed' are much larger, so I think this is a valid workaround.
