Playback stuttering?

Hey all,

First off I'd like to send my gratitude for making this. I use Raw Converter to convert Pro Res Raw clips to CDNG and am editing in Davinci. The CDNG files open in Octopus but don't seem to have a smooth playback. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

Hi, sorry for the delay in responding. Would you be able to share your computer's specs and operating system info? And some information about the DNG files - Resolution/frame rate/bit-depth.
Playback stuttering could be either the application is maxing out CPU core usage, or the disk read bandwidth isn't enough for the size of the DNGs and frame rate. Another more subtle issue is when playing back 24fps footage on a 60hz monitor - but this would affect all software.

Are you able to try the latest version which was released today? It has some improvements for playback frame timing on Windows
