Problem when adding a partial URL to the ODE - Remote file feature

Problem description

Let's say a user makes a mistake and copies/pastes a part of a URL (example). The ODE will display this message:

I have also cut another portion of the same URL and pasted it on the Remote File box (example). In this case, the ODE did not show a preview the data but added the file on the left menu and named it using part of the URL:

In this particular case, is there a way to avoid the ODE to add the file if it could not be loaded properly?

Steps to reproduce it

Original URL used for testing purposes

• Go to ADD ---Remote file and then use the URLs suggested above.

Suggested solution

• First, please, check issue Support Google Sheets #439 related to Google Sheets URLs.
• If there's a problem with the URL, the ODE should display in the box the same message we introduced in issue Bug when adding remote file #361 (Enter a valid URL):
