Same trace ID and Span ID for different services

Hello, I am trying to use opentelemetry with manual instrumentation in one of my projects. When I try to generate my traces in application logs, I am getting the same spanID for all the services for one HTTP call. But what I expect is the same traceId with different spanId. Is there any solution to achieve this with manual instrumentation?

Could you add a code snippet of how you're manually instrumenting the HTTP request? That might provide some clues to the problem

if that's literally what you've added, then there's a typo in your system property (otel.propagators not how you've spelled it). Also, you need to make sure that both ends (client and server) have enabled compatible propagation formats.

Sorry, that was a typo here. Here is my code snippet. Also added configuration - Dotel.propagators=b3 in java args.

How are you calling the service? Is your caller setting the B3 trace id header?

It depends on what you need to do, exactly. You can: create new spans and modify existing spans. What sort of "override" are you intending?

In an application, How can we modify the agent generated traces with the custom traces?

As I said..you can create new spans and add attributes to existing spans. What more do you need to do?
