ILIAS 8 support? #15
Comments
Unfortunately, there is no contract/support for this matter at the moment. |
@mhilbert: There is no timeline at the moment since this plugin is not (maybe: yet) used by any institution, at least as far as I know. If you or any other institiution is using it or interested in using it in the future please state it in github or the following mailinglist (https://groups.google.com/a/opencast.org/g/lms) and join us in one of our upcoming community meetings (https://opencast.org/webmeetings/) to discuss this topic. Thx! |
@mhilbert: Do you have an update on your plans to further use this plugin? It seems that all institutions participating in the regular community meetings have no stakes in updating this plugin to ILIAS 8 or 9. |
We have some didactic scenarios for which we need the plugin. Therefore: yes, we want to use it, first in ILIAS 7 soon and then in ILIAS 9 from March 2025. Our current situation is that our Opencast server is still under construction. I therefore have no opportunity to test the plugin at the moment. In addition, I have already made adjustments to the plugin for PHP 8.0 and ILIAS 8 myself, but have not yet had the opportunity to test them either. Our plan is that as soon as our Opencast server is up and running and the Opencast plugin, on which the event plugin is based, is available for ILIAS 9, I will take another look at the event plugin for ILIAS 9. If necessary, this will then lead to a new request for offers from our side. |
@mhilbert Thx for the update. Some thoughts:
