openHABian v1.8c
This is openHABian, the image for Raspberries to combine OS and openHAB.
If you have any trouble getting openHABian to work, please check out the DEBUG guide.
Note this image will install openHAB 4 and Java 17.
If you want to get openHAB 3 installed and/or want to migrate your config, check out the OH4 migration FAQ.
The first two image files are based on proven 'bullseye' Debian distribution. Use either of these unless you have a Pi5 and make sure to read the docs on 64bit before you choose.
The last link is an experimental image based on 'bookworm'. It's supposed to support RPi5 but it's known to have issues with Wi-Fi.
You'll find the image below under assets ⤵︎
What's Changed
- catch up with fixes since August release
- Raspi imager changes required
Full Changelog: v1.8...v1.8c
openHABian v1.8b
New release to sync with openHAB 4 release.
Beware that running in 64 bit has a major drawback: increased memory usage.
That is not a good idea on a heavily memory constrained platform like a RPi.
A NOTE IF YOU HAVE ANY TROUBLE getting openHABian to work: please check out the DEBUG guide.
