Consider redesigning the Schedule object

Related to #493 and #492 as pertains to events and scheduling, and would be dependant on those conversations taking place.

There have been discussions about the fitness of the current schedule object for various purposes such as having schedule groups as well as how to provision for Events.

Once those needs are better defined and understood, we should revisit the design of the schedule object since there may be an opportunity to simplify it or otherwise make it more fit for actual real-life use.
