Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe

OpenSearch has a feature Views that introduce a powerful way to simplify data access and manipulation by providing a virtual layer over one or more indices. As is currently implemented there is lots of potential scenarios. This issue will serve as a way to capture all of these requests into a single spot so folks that wish to contribute have context on the kinds of scenarios and where overlap may occur.
