When you select an administrative boundary in iD, it’s often hard to tell which side is which. Sometimes you can zoom way out, but often the administrative area is far too large to see completely. It would help if iD displayed both the left and right names of the boundary on the map itself, just like the openstreetmap-carto style does.

This might have a positive influence on iD-caused boundary damages.
