I'm pleased to announce the work on https://github.com/SonsOfPHP/symfony-sop which will allow you to use the symfony framework to manage multiple apps using a singular code base.
Why would you want to do this? It will allow you to keep you API, Admin, and App separated. Each could have different configurations and could be hosted in multiple locations (Heroku, AWS, etc.).
