Hi guys! Just want to announce I've published a new library Astro Resume, which is a combination of learnings we have had here and my other personal project Cozy.
Also please read on for important changes we will have in this project! :)
Why a new library?
I opted for it to be a separate library now to keep the scope clear: it is / will be a set of utilities we can use for our components but does not have to be a "feature" we support.
In line with this, I plan to get back to the efforts we were doing here which I believe to be an exploration of simpler development patterns for complex use cases in Astro.
However, to move forward, I think we need to streamline this project.
Initial interests
We've had a bunch of positive interest last year, I think due to the project being announced at a time when "Reactivity" was a hype (which I didn't know about to be honest until later 😅) and Astro was still a novel framework.
People loved the idea, and I did not deliver a good scope of expectation.
Additionally, Hactoberfest 2022 last year, from which I met a lot of you here, was a double-edged experience: It gave us some "tailwind" (not the library, but the figure of speech) to move some ideas forward but also attracted enthusiasm from people who are new to open-source (including me) who are still figuring out how much commitment they can give.
What's next?
I really love all our discussions, the software we produced, and more importantly the learnings we had here.
And we're not stopping!
For the continuity of them all, I would like to consider the following:
With those items, I will make some changes moving forward and would really love to hear your thoughts on this.
Thank you and let's keep on building!
