To encourage engagement and contribution by the
com-lihaoyi
community, I (Li Haoyi) am putting up issue bounties for various issues within thecom-lihaoyi
ecosystem. These include:ScalaSql
Mill
build.sc
to Scala 3 mill#3152 (1000USD Bounty)uPickle
$type
tag to be replaced by some other string (500USD Bounty) upickle#578 (500USD Bounty)Requests-Scala
java.net.HTTPUrlConnection
withjava.net.http.HttpClient
(500USD Bounty) requests-scala#150 (500USD Bounty)Cask
OS-Lib
FastParse
SourceCode
macro
keyword in Scala3 (200USD Bounty) sourcecode#120 (200USD Bounty)These bounties are payable on acceptance of a PR that satisfies the requirements of the ticket. Standard PR requirements apply: code quality, tested, proper description explaining the problem and the fix, green CI, etc. The bounty is payable out of my own pocket, via bank transfer (I'll contact you for details upon acceptance), and at my discretion in case of ambiguity (e.g. whether a PR fulfils the requirements, or if multiple PRs are submitted).
The goal of these bounties is not to turn the entire development of the
com-lihaoyi
ecosystem commercial, and is not intended to be a competitive hourly salary for someone making silicon valley total compensation. None of these tickets are things I cannot resolve myself with time and effort.Rather, these issue bounties are just a token of appreciation to encourage users who might not otherwise get involved to contribute back to the
com-lihaoyi
ecosystem. They are also a way for me, who has made a career on Scala, to give back a bit to thecom-lihaoyi
Scala community. The bounties are all open, ranging from difficult migrations to trivial bug fixes. Happy coding!
