Achievement badges already have a nice hierarchy of coloured, bronze, silver and gold, each higher variety requiring significantly more effort to obtain.
Currently, however, this very clear visual distinction is only ever visible when you click on a badge in the web interface and it flips briefly. Instead, all varieties of badges show up as coloured badges in one’s profile, with x2 representing bronze, x3 silver etc.
This is misleading because numerical representation gives people that aren’t familiar with the criteria a false impression of linear progression, where Pull Shark x3 for example merely suggests three badges rather than a more advanced badge that requires 128, ie x64 as many, merged PRs as Pull Shark x1.
Please show bronze, silver and gold badges in the profile to avoid confusion.
