Shortcuts

You guys were recently asking people about how they multi task on elementary os and launch apps. I'd like to request a feature - shortcuts. How would they work? You could create shortcuts perhaps within a new app dedicated to it, which would let you specify which apps to launch (at same time), chose from pre-existing app layouts or create your own (so that they would launch in that exact layout) as well as on which of virtual desktops one of choosen apps would launch. For it to make sense I thikn it'd be clever if layout would be per virtual desktop. We often launch multiple apps when doing something - like for example when doing some web dev - you launch ide, you launch browser, some database tool perhaps, maybe some server running scripts as well, it'd be nice to automate that stuff.
