I started working in the crypto space in 2013 when I co-founded Chain. We started with a hosted bitcoin API and then pivoted into enterprise blockchains for: Visa, Citi, and Nasdaq. Before Chain I did engineering at Heroku (pre Salesforce acquisition). After Chain I got eth-pilled.

I am betting that Ethereum will play a major role in our civilization's transition to decentralized digitization. Ethereum is fun, it's technically interesting, and there is a fantastic group of people building cool things in and around it. Therefore I am dedicating my time and talents towards building open source infrastructure for teams building on Ethereum. Index Supply is a company focused on helping teams access Ethereum by delivering open source software, hosting open source services, and providing excellent customer service.

Roadmap

It's early days for Index Supply, right now, all of our actions are focused on being helpful to teams who want optimized access to Ethereum data. So far we are developing 4 areas:

1. Ethereum node setup and maintenance consulting service (available today)
2. Shovel (fka E2PG): Eth Node to Postgres indexer (available today)
3. Block API (fka RLPS): high performance access to low level data (available today)
4. Index Supply Node: an all-in-one Ethereum node and indexer (in development)

As the space evolves, and as the needs of our customers and the broader ecosystem evolve, we will iterate our product and services offerings.

Funding

Index Supply, Co. is funded in three ways:

1. Bootstrapped by me
2. A grant from 0xPARC
3. Customer revenue from our Run your own node services

I have a longer post on how I think about funding and growth, but in summary: Index Supply's financial outcomes are determined by the team and our customers. We are not on the unicorn path.
