It might be interesting to consider some initial potential differences (and links) between the first and second renaissance, following from this discussion post #922
Geography: Although R1 is viewed as the 'birth of the modern world system' it happened primarily in Europe. R2 is more global in a few ways, e.g in that it responds to global challenges, is happening in the 'noosphere', and has a focus on integral and incorporating worldviews
Individuals/organizations: when people think of the 'renaissance' they think of people like Leonardo Da Vinci/ Michaelangelo, but there probably will be more of a focus on 'organizations' as it will likely be driven more so by organizational innovations
Human centric: Focus on the human being and human potential (R1), focus on 'ecosystem' and biodiversity (R2)
The role of nature: Related to 3, a 'mastery over nature' (R1) and a 'coexistence' within nature (R2)
Mastery in art, and particular pieces of art (R1), opposed to a focus on the 'process' of art/ more people doing art and 'unlocking artistic potential', art becoming more widespread (R2)
Into the Newtonian paradigm (R1) and out of the Newtonian paradigm (R2)
R1 a focus on 'commerce' R2 a focus on community
