Why are deployment errors not shown through the UI?

Question:
Many times when deploying a container through the UI, a failure is just reported as a:

Failure
Request failed with status code 500

The response is shown in the Network tab of the browser as JSON but not on the UI.
Why is that? Can it not be shown in the error popup that appears?

Took me a while to understand that an actual error appeared, I could not find relevant info on portainer docs and other people on reddit had the same issue.

Thanks for that.
We have some engineering work in the pipeline to improve logging in general across the board. I'll add this into it for consideration.
