Remote control question

I'm trying to use the Right button as a shift key. The first block of code works correctly. If the Right button is not pressed then the next block of code is executed correctly as well but the stop functions fail because I have an else statement following another else statement. How can I solve this seemingly simple problem?

    pressed = rc.buttons.pressed()

    if Button.RIGHT in pressed:
        if Button.LEFT_PLUS in pressed:
            jib_motor.run(JIB_SPEED)
            wait(100)

        if Button.LEFT_MINUS in pressed:

            wait(100)

        else:
            jib_motor.stop()    

    else:

        if Button.RIGHT_PLUS in pressed:
            slew_motor.run(SLEW_SPEED)
            wait(100)

        if Button.RIGHT_MINUS in pressed:
            slew_motor.run(-SLEW_SPEED)
            wait(100)

        if Button.LEFT_PLUS in pressed:
            hoist_motor.run(HOIST_SPEED)
            wait(100)

        if Button.LEFT_MINUS in pressed:
            hoist_motor.run(-HOIST_SPEED)
            wait(100)

        else:
            slew_motor.stop()
            hoist_motor.stop()

You could change all of the ifs after the first ones in each block to elif.

Thank you, I had already tried that but I'm still seeing the same syntax error. I've had another thought, perhaps I could replace the lase else with another if, of elif, statement like this:

if button.LEFT_PLUS not in pressed:
stop motor

What is the syntax error? This looks fine to me:

If I comment out the last else statement then there isn't an error.

I found the problem, I'm sorry to have bothered you David.
