In KDE you can freely mix and match icons, cursors, welcome screens and other personalised decorations. yin-yang can currently only modify the global theme.

There is an application called lookandfeelexplorer or "Plasma Global Theme Explorer" that's a part of the plasma-sdk. You can use this tool to create a new global theme from your current plasma setup. Would this work for more customization?
