Git Tag support #144

Good question... If we created a dialog box (as we intend to do), I think it may be a bit difficult to notice what happens automatically in the Git History side-view in the back, even if the view were not hidden by the dialog box. Perhaps we could add an action in the context menu, "Show in Git History"... This way the users will know that they need to look for the Git History view. @AlexJitianu, @raducoravu, @FlorinAvram, do you have different opinions? @kirkilj, you can also jump into this discussion, if you want. I know you were interested into Git tags. |

@sorincarbunaru maybe you can add a separate issue for this. |

I hadn't noticed your mention of me in this thread earlier. I'll check my notification settings. I came here to mention that although I can create tags from a history entry, I can't check one out. The tag dialog could have a context menu for doing this. My preference would be to see tags listed in the Branch Manager distinguished from branches by using the tag icon. You could show the same pop-up hover hint for tags as you do for branches. What do you think of having all tags under a tag parent and the branches under a branch parent? Something like this: I won't even dare to ask about creating a submodule for a specific tag in another repo... not yet anyway. ;) |

Hello,
If we had a table with the tags (for example in a dialog box), when the users selects a specific tag, should we automatically select the corresponding commit in Git History?
BTW, this is related to issue #49.
