Unfortunately, it looks like that finalterm is not taking into account command set -o emacs. It should incorporate emacs (or vim) specific keybindings related to text navigation and manipulation (e.g. <alt> + backspace should remove current word).

Or is this supposed to be configurable via finalterm's keybindings?
