I remember it working before, but it doesn't even appear to be working on https://peerpad.net/ right now.
To me, it seems like a bit of an odd publishing workflow.
We already have the ability to generate a read-only link, and this is almost the same thing (except it doesn't get automatically pinned). It's a bit confusing to users, I imagine.
I believe that this used to generate a static HTML page from the markdown with everything embedded, but there isn't any ability to customize it. It's a bit too minimal, I think ... I'm pretty sure most people are going to want more features for it to be useful to them - at a bare minimum, they'll want pinning and mutability. It might serve a purpose as a tech demo just to show that it's possible to publish directly using js-ipfs...
How about if we just remove it instead of trying to fix it?
