Default entity icon color for template card

I'm trying to set the icon color for a template card to the default entity card color. I've tried icon_color: default, icon_color: enabled, icon_color: standard and icon_color: '' but all of those do not work.

• Empty color shows as 'disabled'
• '' (single quotes) shows as black
• default and standard also show as black
• red, green or blue show as expected.

What is the template syntax for the current default (theme) entity color?

Default color is disabled for template card. You can just use blue color here ?

I could, but blue is a different color than the one in my current theme (MacOS Theme).

I basically want the default color to be able to follow the theme color. Which could be any color.

(For any* theme I tested, both blues match, funny enough, so it's definitely not an issue for everyone.)

I have the same question, for me this essentially makes the card useless and I'm not sure about the logic behind this? Surely we can just let it follow the theme just like the tile card (in my case all I want is to convert seconds to minutes without having to make an extra entity).

I’ve also tried primary but that also does not work well across themes.

Are there any news regarding this topic?
I would really like to have the icon follow the state of the entity and the standard colors of the theme accordingly (just like in the standard tile card -> default color (state)).
Is this a design decision or difficult to implement?

@Caibuk Mushroom is using its own color palette and options.
I would love to migrate all the Mushroom card to the new tile card design but that would be a huge breaking change and a total revamp of Mushroom. But it will happen. I just need to take time to do it 😅
