How do notifications work in Planka?

Hi everyone,

I’m using Planka, but I just realized I’ve never received any notifications via the "bell" icon.

I have a few questions regarding notifications:

When exactly are notifications triggered?
Do notifications appear when someone makes changes to a card?

Is there any way to view a full log of all actions on a project, including notifications and executions?

I’d appreciate any insights on how notifications are supposed to work.

Hello,

I think you can activate "Email-Notifications" as you see here
in the Docker compose file: https://github.com/plankanban/planka/blob/master/docker-compose.yml

And I think you could interact with bots to get notifications. (Also in the docker-compose file)

Hi!

Currently, there are only two events that trigger notifications:

• When a card is moved to another column (you must be subscribed to that card).
• When a comment is made on a card you are subscribed to.

If you perform the action yourself, you won’t receive a notification. We understand the need for more notification types and plan to add them in the future.

The clarification on notifications helps a lot. It’s good to know that notifications are currently limited to card movements and comments for subscribed users. Looking forward to seeing more notification types in the future!

Also, thanks for the links on email notifications and logging. I’ll check them out to see if I can set up something useful for my workflow.
