Description

  • Remove first See Also. It's repetitive.
  • Remove the section "Contributor roles". Who cares? Just show them how to edit the page!
  • Overhaul the section "Making contributions on GitHub". Most of this content is repeated under First-time contributors or is just plain wrong.
  • Revise the section "Editing external package documentation". Some parts are incorrect, and there are new steps.

A PR that closes this issue might also close #1778.
